Four Arrested in Series of Break-Ins

WINNIPEG - Police arrested four people after an ongoing investigation into a series of vehicle thefts and break-ins between January 19 and January 23.

They made the arrests at a traffic stop on St. Anne's Road on January 27 at 12:50pm.

Between January 19 and 22 a vehicle was stolen from a home on Weatherstone Pl.

Then, on January 21, they broke into a home on Kildonan Drive taking numerous items including the keys to a truck. They came back the next day and stole the truck from the same home.

The same stolen truck was then driven to a home on River Pointe Dr. where they attempted to force the front door, however they were scared off before they could get in.

Next they went to a home on Featherstone Way. The suspects entered a detached garage and confronted the resident, punching him several times before fleeing.

January 23, the first stolen vehicle was driven to a home on Karens Cr. in Oak Bluff, Manitoba. They attempted to force the front door of the home but were scared off by the resident. The stolen vehicle was located was later located in the first 100 block of Morrow Ave.

Members of the Major Crimes Unit obtained a search warrant for a residence in the first 100 block of Morrow. As a result of the search, officers seized stolen electronics, sports equipment, jewelry, two prohibited rifles, four non-restricted rifles, and ammunition.

They have been held in custody.
