Drugs and Gangs Unit Gets Two Drug Dealers

WINNIPEG – The Guns and Gangs Unit has taken more drug dealers off the streets after a search warrant netted $17,000 in drugs, three guns and two arrests.

The investigation led to the search of an apartment on Cumberland. A number of people were taken into custody and the following was seized:

– Approximately 19.5 ounces of methamphetamine (estimated street value of $11,700)

– Approximately 2.5 ounces of cocaine (estimated street value of $5,000)

– $1,380 in Canadian currency

– 147 Tylenol 3 pills (estimated street value of $75)

– A loaded 9mm semi-automatic handgun (tampered serial number)

– A .303 British bolt-action rifle (with ammunition)

– A sawed-off 12 gauge shotgun (with ammunition)

– Body armour

– Packaging materials and score sheets

30 year-old Andrew Shayne Guinto has been charged with:

– Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Methamphetamine

– Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine

– Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Codeine

– Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000

– Possession of a Firearm Knowing Serial Number has been Tampered With

– Possession of a Loaded Prohibited or Restricted Firearm

– Store Firearm or Restricted Weapon Contrary to Regulations (x3)

– Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm (x3)

– Possession of a Prohibited or Restricted Firearm with Ammunition

– Possess body armour without a valid permit or in a manner inconsistent with the valid permit (The Body Armour and Fortified Vehicle Control Act)

– Fail to Comply with Conditions of Undertaking Given by Officer in Charge (x4)

26 year-old Priscilla Rose-Marie Wood has been charged with:

– Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Methamphetamine

– Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine

– Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Codeine

– Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000

– Store Firearm or Restricted Weapon Contrary to Regulations (x2)

– Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm (x2)

– Possession of a Prohibited or Restricted Firearm with Ammunition

– Possess body armour without a valid permit or in a manner inconsistent with the valid permit (The Body Armour and Fortified Vehicle Control Act)

They were detained in custody.
