WINNIPEG - A teenaged driver whose passenger died in a crash a year ago in Winnipeg has been charged with criminal negligence causing death.
Police say the man, who is now 19 years old, was arrested on Friday.
He was 18 last October 18th when first responders were called to St. Mary's Road where a vehicle struck a utility pole.
Both the driver and a 17 year old passenger were rushed to a hospital in critical condition but the passenger did not survive.
Investigators say speed and manner of driving were factors in the collision.
