Manitoba Post StaffNews

WINNIPEG – A 68 year old man is recovering in hospital after being hurt during a carjacking. He was run over by his own vehicle Monday morning just after 8:30 in a back lane near Bannerman Avenue and Charles Street. The search then began for two suspects, a male and a female. The stolen car was spotted by officers less than an hour later. A chase began and the vehicle was found abandoned in the Riverbend area. Then police got a call about someone stuck in a garbage bin nearby. It turns out the person in the bin had the keys to that stolen car with her, she was apparently trying to hid from cops. A 16 year old girl is facing charges.
