Armed Man on Meth Threatens Transit Passengers

WINNIPEG – A man, high on meth and armed with a knife, threatened passengers on a Winnipeg Transit Bus travelling on Dunkirk Drive just before 1:00 A.M.

The driver, in communication with a Transit Supervisor, stopped the bus near Kingston Row. The suspect left the bus, however, responding officers were able to apprehend him after a short chase. An 8-inch knife was seized from the suspect. There were no injuries.

34 year-old Roxy Pierre Colomb of Lynn Lake, Mb., was charged with:

– Carry Concealed Weapon

– Possess Weapon

He was detained in custody. The accused admitted to using methamphetamine prior to the incident.
