3D-Printed Gun Bust

WINNIPEG - A 24 year old man is charged with manufacturing firearms with a 3D printer and then trafficking them.

Winnipeg Police say they began investigating Blake Ellison Crate last November after the Canada Border Services Agency intercepted mail containing parts used to build 3D guns.

In April, someone allegedly tried to purchase firearm parts in Calgary and Montreal using a false name.

Investigators also seized a gun, 3D gun parts and ammunition.
