WINNIPEG – A 38 year-old Winnipeg woman has been stabbed to death in the city’s 17th homicide this year.

On December 6th paramedics were called to a home on Tyndall Avenue where they found 38 year old Lisa Marie Kubica who was suffering from severe injuries to her upper body. She was taken to hospital but was later pronounced dead.

Police arrested 45 year-old Phyllis Dawn Pascal who allegedly confronted the victim in her home regarding a past issue and then assaulted her. She has been charged with second degree murder and was held in custody
