WINNIPEG - Two suspects are in police custody after an attack on a ride-share driver in Winnipeg last week.
Investigators say the two, along with several other people, were trying to get a ride from a restaurant on St. James Street but the driver said that there were too many for his car.
According to police, the pair began to argue with the driver when one of the suspects pulled a gun and pistol-whipped the driver.
They also apparently tried to steal the driver's phone before fleeing.
Cops say a number of shots were fired at the car but the driver was not hurt.
$18,000 in cash and $3,000 in drugs were seized.
A 21 year old man and 19 year old woman face multiple charges.
