WINNIPEG - Police have arrested a 36 year old man after a 12 year old girl was sexually assaulted in downtown Winnipeg earlier this week.
Johnny Walter Donald Garson is in custody and facing charges of sex assault and sexual interference.
On Monday, the girl was approached by a man who struck up a conversation at a bus shelter at Portage Avenue and Main Street.
He convinced her to walk with him to a building stairwell off Lombard Avenue near Rorie Street where she was seriously sexually assaulted.
