WINNIPEG - The undefeated Winnipeg Blue Bombers take on the winless Hamilton Tiger-Cats at IG Field tonight in what the team is hoping will be a white out (stealing from the Winnipeg Jets).
Why a white out? The reason is quite simple; the last two Grey Cup wins (against Hamilton nonetheless) have come with the Bombers wearing their white (away) jersey, so this is another way to stick it to Hamilton. Or sell more white merchandise. Wade Miller knows what he is doing.
Despite what many have called a slow start, the Bombers this season have allowed just three points in the fourth quarter, while scoring 15. Hamilton has given up 38 fourth quarter points, scoring just 13. The Bombers will be without corner Winston Rose (foot injury), he’ll be replaced by Demerio Houston. Center Chris Kolankowski will replace Michael Couture and global special-teams D-lineman Thiadric Hansen returns to the Big Blue, just five days after flying in from Poland to rejoin the team.
Expect Zack Collaros to have shaken off the rust and have a big night once again on the way to the team's third consecutive win.
Kickoff is at 7:30pm (680 CJOB, TSN3).
