Bombers Still Haven't Lost

WINNIPEG - Carlton Agudosi stole the show last night, while the defending Grey Cup champion Winnipeg Blue Bombers moved to 6-0 on the season by beating Calgary 26-19. Agudosi made six catches for 70 yards and two touchdowns, as the Bombers handed the Stampeders their first loss of the season.

Agudosi, a 28 year old native of New Jersey, made his first CFL start after spending the last year on the practice roster. His finest catch came with under four minutes to go, resulting in what turned out to be the game winning touchdown.

Bomber quarterback Zach Collaros was 27 of 38 for 315 yards and two TDs, as the offence combined for 334 yards. Calgary’s Bo Levi Mitchel was 12 of 28 for 187 yards and a costly turnover late in the fourth quarter. Behind by seven, Mitchell found an open Kamar Jorden in the end zone but he bobbled the ball giving Bomber defensive back Demerio Houston the pick and sending 29,746 fans home happy.

The win was the Bombers 3rd in 12 days and they now have a week to rest until they start three straight on the road next Friday night in Edmonton. Game time is 8pm (680 CJOB, TSN3).
