WINNIPEG - Week 4 of the CFL season concludes tonight, with the undefeated Winnipeg Blue Bombers (3-0) visiting the 1-1 Toronto Argonauts at BMO Field. The Bombers (barring a playoff match up) only face the Argos once this year, and line up against a man who helped them become back-to-back Grey Cup champions, Andrew Harris. So far this season, Harris has 25 carries for 114 yards, averaging 4.6 yards per carry. He has also caught five passes for 42 yards. Not exactly the threat that he was when he was in Blue and Gold, but his new team has only played twice in 2022.
Winnipeg will be without Nic Demski who was placed on the six-game injured list with an ankle injury. Demski was injured June 24th in the Bombers' 26-12 win over Hamilton, after catching his sixth pass of the game (for a season-high 96 yards). Canadian Brendan O’Leary-Orange will get the start in his place; he caught three passes for 22 yards in relief of Demski last week. Demerio Houston who bumped CFL veteran Tyquwan Glass right off the roster, earned another start after his strong game last week, replacing injured corner Winston Rose.
The oddsmakers have the Bombers as 5 point favourites, and even with Winnipeg not having a lot of success in the “big smoke”, I don’t think it will be that close. Kick off is at 6:30pm (680 CJOB, TSN3).
