WINNIPEG - The Winnipeg Blue Bombers put their perfect 6-0 record on the line tonight in Edmonton against the 2-4 Elks. The Bombers are lining up against former teammate Kenny Lawler who bolted from the team as a free agent when Edmonton offered him a wheelbarrow full of cash. The problem is the Elks don’t have a proven QB like Zack Collaros who can get him the ball.
No team has scored more than 22 points on the Bombers this season. Edmonton’s scoring average is 20.2 points a game. The Bombers score on average 26 points per game and in their last 2 wins, they averaged almost 35 points.
This one won’t even be close. Even without the league’s leading receiver Greg Ellingson (Lawler’s replacement), the Bombers have more than enough weapons to hand the Elks their 12th straight home loss.
Kickoff is at 8pm (680 CJOB, TSN3).
