Winnipeg's Bombers Host Calgary Tonight

Bombers Host Calgary Tonight

WINNIPEG - Another week, another undefeated rival on the schedule for Zach Collaros and the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. Tonight at IG Field, Winnipeg (5-0) will host the Calgary Stampeders (4-0). It's the second straight week the defending Grey Cup champions have squared off against an unbeaten West Division squad after taming the BC Lions 43-22 last week at BC Place Stadium. Calgary is also coming off a big road win, having embarrassed the Edmonton Elks last week at Commonwealth Stadium 49-6.

In four of the past five seasons, either the Blue Bombers or the Stampeders have won the West Division. They’ve also combined for each of the last three Grey Cup titles. The teams met twice in 2021, with the home side winning a low scoring affair on both occasions. Winnipeg has gone 4-3 in their seven most recent regular season matchups against the Stamps.

Calgary QB Bo Levi Mitchell has a career record of 12-3 versus Winnipeg (30 touchdowns, nine interceptions) and is 5-3 head-to-head versus Collaros. But Collaros is a stellar 10-0 at IG Field and that will be the difference; I expect another big Bomber win as the team knows how to win at home in front of their fans.

Kickoff is at 7:30pm (680 CJOB, TSN3).
