Blue Bombers Are Back!

Blue Bombers Are Back!

WINNIPEG - 621 days. That’s how long it’s been since the Winnipeg Blue Bombers captured the Grey Cup on November 24th, 2019. A lot has changed and while it may feel a little different tonight at IG Field, I expect all the emotion of that Sunday in Calgary to come back the moment I set foot in the Stadium.

You see, the Bombers are my team. I support the Goldeyes and the Jets in a big way, but ever since watching the 1972 Western Final with my Dad on our old black and white television set, I’ve been a Bomber for Life. I’ve been a Season Ticket Member since 1983. I proudly served on the Board of Directors in the 90’s, through a business sponsorship I’ve catered the Press Box at the old stadium, played in their Golf Tournament countless times, and I’ve seen the Bombers play in the Grey Cup in person 4 times. I don’t even have an item in my wardrobe that’s green. I am a fan and I’m not afraid to admit it.

So tonight, after they raise the Grey Cup Championship banner I expect another dominant performance against the Hamilton Tiger-Cats despite Andrew Harris and Darvin Adams not being in the lineup. We have mostly the same championship defense in place and a well-rested and injury free Zach Collaros ready to dominate like they did in the 2019 playoffs.

Again, things may feel a little different since our last home game in 2019, but expect the outcome to be the same; a Blue Bomber victory. Game time is 7:30pm, and get there early.
