WINNIPEG, MB. - When do you take down your Christmas Tree? Some people, the day after, maybe you wait until News Years Day. No matter when you do, the tree chipping locations are now open.
The City of Winnipeg said in a news release, that Christmas trees placed outside by the garbage or recycling bins will not be collected.
Instead, you can take your tree to one of the many "Let’s Chip In" depots.
The city does remind you to ensure the plastic tree bags, tinsel, lights, decorations and tree stands are all removed before dropping your tree at one of the lots.
There are some locations that have 24-hour access, you can find a Let's Chip In depot near you by clicking here.
