Winter Weather Arrives In Manitoba

Winter Weather Arrives

WINNIPEG - Today will see the start of a shift to wintery weather in southern Manitoba.

A low pressure system approaching from Saskatchewan will push a mix of rain and snow.

Winter storm and snowfall warnings dot the south half of the province. In Winnipeg, it's a special weather statement.

Generally, the snowfall accumulation will occur tonight, tomorrow and into Friday and could top 40 centimeters in the Dauphin area.

Snowfall amounts will vary widely and will depend on how much temperatures rise and stay above freezing.

Tomorrow and early Friday will be particularly blustery with a gusty northeast wind.
