WINNIPEG - If the forecast is right, today will be the hottest day of the year at 37 degrees.
Factor in the humidity and it could feel like 42.
Before this, the hottest day of the summer was June 4th at 36.5 C.
Today's hazy heat could kick up a thunderstorm late in the afternoon.
Heat warnings remain in effect for all of southern Manitoba and in some areas, Environment Canada has issued special air quality statements because of smoke from wildfires.
Good chance tomorrow will be the hottest day so far this year in Winnipeg. June 4 is currently the hottest day of 2021 with a high of 36.5 C. If there is no smoke influence tomorrow, my high forecast would be 39 C. But smoke could shave a few degrees off that - we'll see!
