Vaccine Passports In Effect In Manitoba

Vaccine Passports In Effect

WINNIPEG - COVID-19 vaccine passports are now in effect across Manitoba.

Proof of full vaccination is required to enter non-essential businesses like restaurants, bars and movie theatres.

Dr. Brent Roussin, the province's chief public health officer, says this new measure is needed to try and lessen the impact of a fourth wave of the pandemic.

He believes passports and the recent mask mandate for public indoor spaces could prevent another shutdown and encourage unvaccinated people to get their shots.
