WINNIPEG - Manitoba's First Nations Pandemic Response Team hopes to have 90 per cent of young Indigenous kids partially vaccinated before their winter school break.
There are about 1,500 children between the ages of five and 11 who live on-reserve.
The pediatric vaccine was just approved by Health Canada on Friday and vials containing the smaller doses have already arrived in the province.
Parents in other parts of Manitoba started booking appointments for their small kids on Monday.
Clinics and pharmacies could have the vaccine as soon as tomorrow.
