WINNIPEG - Frontline Government of Manitoba employees will have to be fully vaccinated by October 18th or undergo frequent testing.
The testing could be up to three times a week.
Teachers, health care workers and staff at licenced child care centres are some of the people affected by the new policy.
Casino employees and provincial bar and restaurant inspectors are not covered under this order, even though vaccination is mandatory for customers at those venues.
It's not clear yet how many employees might opt for testing but based on vaccinations rates in the general population, it could be 20,000.
This does not impact workers in the private and non-profit sectors.
