WINNIPEG - The provine's rules on close contacts have tightened.
Dr. Brent Roussin says if someone tests positive for COVID-19, all members of that household must now self-isolate. And if a close contact lives elsewhere, everyone in that home will also have to isolate until a negative test is confirmed.
The definition of a close contact is also changing. It used to be 15 minutes but now it's 10.
Roussin says these adjustments are needed as Manitoba slowly reopens with the presence of variants.
