Strike Hits Hydro

WINNIPEG - Rotating strikes are underway at Manitoba Hydro involving 2,300 workers.

The International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers met with the employer yesterday but rejected the latest contract offer. The offer included a .75 per cent wage increase but the union says it's not enough.

Hydro officials say they have a contingency plan in place to maintain service.

No new negotiations are scheduled.
