Stolen Vehicle Suspects Can’t Hide from Police Dog

MANITOBA – RCMP from Headingly, Stonewall, Teulon and Portage La Prairie along with Police Dog Services arrested three suspects in a stolen vehicle investigation after the vehicle was found stuck in the snow near Cartier.

The car was reported at around 2:00 AM and three suspicious people associated to the vehicle were reported to be in the area.

Officers from Headingley, Stonewall, Teulon and Portage la Prairie, immediately responded to the area.

Once at the scene, officers discovered that the vehicle stuck in the snow was reported stolen from the Carberry area.

Officers contained the scene and Police Dog Services attended to track the suspects. At approximately 3:30 am, a female and male suspect were located on Road 18 W, and were taken into custody. At approximately 4:05 am, one male suspect was located hiding in a barn just off Road 18 West. All three suspects were arrested and are now facing numerous charges.

Amy Constant, 25, of The Pas, has been charged with Flight from Police, Obstructing a Peace Officer, Trespass at Night, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime x2, Breaking and Entering, and three counts of Failing to Comply.

Michael Dahlin, 27, of Winnipeg, has been charged with Flight from Police, Obstructing a Peace Officer, Trespass at Night, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime x2, Breaking and Entering, and Failing to Comply.

Nicholas Allard, 27, of Winnipeg, has been charged with Flight from Police, Obstructing a Peace Officer, Trespass at Night, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime and Breaking and Entering.

RCMP continue to investigate.
