Rainfall Warning Continues

WINNIPEG - Environment Canada has issued the following rainfall warning for much of southern Manitoba including Winnipeg:

Rain continues as the third major low pressure system in as many weeks impacts southern Manitoba.

Rain will continue to lift northwards through the province this evening and overnight, bringing an additional 5 to 15 mm over southern regions and a further 10 to 20 mm to northern Interlake regions by Sunday morning. Rain may transition to wet snow early Sunday morning as surface temperatures cool to near freezing. The rain/wet snow mix will taper off from west to east on Sunday.
