WINNIPEG - Manitoba's top doctor is set to testify in court on Friday.
Dr. Brent Roussin will defend his COVID-19 public health orders.
Several churches that oppose the orders are being represented at the court hearing by the Justice Centre for Constitutional Freedoms.
Lawyers for the churches are arguing against Roussin's restrictions, calling them a violation of the charter of rights.
They believe Roussin has been given sweeping powers with very little legislative oversight.
