WINNIPEG - The province's top doctor says it's imperative for Manitobans to avoid non-essential travel.
Dr. Brent Roussin says travelling to other provinces where cases of variants of concern are spiking is not a good idea.
So far, Manitoba has kept these variants of concern under control. There were just five cases yesterday for a total of 275.
Overall, COVID-19 numbers have been low here but we are just coming off a log weekend which have been problematic in the past.
Dr. Roussin says it will take up to a month before we know if Easter gatherings will drive coronavirus cases higher.
