WINNIPEG - The province has decided to extend current public health orders for at least one more week to Tuesday, February 7th.
Dr. Brent Roussin, Manitoba's chief public health officer, says the extra time will be used to confirm the numbers which show the Omicron wave has either peaked or is in the process of peaking.
He adds we are nearing a critical juncture again and wastewater data shows viral transmission is relatively high but stable.
There are nine new deaths today from COVID-19 and hospitalizations are up three from yesterday to 714 people.
