PROVINCE ASKS UNIONS TO HELP

WINNIPEG - The Manitoba government has asked almost two dozen union leaders to go along with a plan for a shorter work week for public service workers. Premier Brian Pallister says it might mean two days on and three off, with employment insurance covering the lost wages. The money saved would go to the frontlines of the CoVid-19 pandemic. We await word on details and whether this idea might be implimented.
