WINNIPEG - Canada's premiers are calling on Ottawa to advance infrastructure.
Manitoba Premier Heather Stefanson, who hosted the premiers' annual three day conference in Winnipeg, says they have asked for a dedicated meeting with Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to discuss infrastructure priorities.
She says economic corridors, ports, rail lines and pipelines need to be built by Ottawa so products can get to market.
According to Stefanson, partnerships are needed to keep Canada competitive but the federal government must respect the unique jurisdictions of each province.
