Police Block Leg Entrance

WINNIPEG - Police officers blocked the entrance to the Manitoba legislative grounds on Monday to stop an attempt to expand an encampment on the front lawn.

Protesters were trying to bring in poles for another teepee to join the two others already there.

The encampment is one of two that have been at the legislature for a number of months.

The Conservative government passed a law this spring which bans camps at the leg and does not allow people to bring in supplies.
