WINNIPEG - Nurses who work for two rural health regions in Manitoba recorded more than 132,000 overtime hours last year
Figures released by the NDP show that nurse OT in Southern Health and Interlake-Eastern Health was up by 36 per cent in 2022 compared to 2020.
Opposition health critic Uzoma Asagwara says overtime hours are completely out of control.
Health Minister Audrey Gordon says the province is working to hire more nurses and has promised to end mandated OT.
