WINNIPEG - The province is reporting one new deaths today from COVID-19. It's a man in his 70's in the Prairie Mountain Health Region.
There are 170 new cases of the virus today, including 96 in Winnipeg and 36 in the Northern Health Region.
Cases of variants of concern now total 709 in Manitoba, with 249 of them active. Two people have been killed by the variants.
1,688 cases are active, 33,512 people have recovered, for a total of 36,159 cases so far.
132 Manitobans are in hospital right now, 33 of them in the ICU.
The five day test positivity rate in the province is 5.6 per cent. Winnipeg's rate is 5.5. 2,346 tests were done in the last 24 hours for a total of 622,343 since the pandemic began.
The death toll now sits at 959.
