WINNIPEG - Manitoba plans to recognize the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation again but it still won't be an official statutory holiday.
The province says there will be no non-essential government services and no school on September 30th, also known as Orange Shirt Day.
Labour Minister Reg Helwer says legislation to make the day a stat has not been introduced yet as consultations with Indigenous leaders, residential school survivors and others continue.
The federal government made the day a holiday for its employees and federally-regulated workplaces last year.
