No Deaths, 50 Cases

WINNIPEG - The province is reporting no deaths today from COVID-19.

There are 50 new cases of the virus, including 31 in Winnipeg and 16 in the north.

There are 18 new cases of the B117 variant today, all but one of them in Winnipeg. That brings the total number of variants of concern in Manitoba to 41.

908 cases are active, 30,968 people have recovered, for a total of 32,793 cases so far.

151 Manitobans are in hospital right now, 23 of them in the ICU.

The five day test positivity rate in the province is 4.8 per cent. Winnipeg's rate is 3.5. 1,516 tests were done in the last 24 hours for a total of 551,209 since the pandemic began.

The death toll now sits at 917.
