WINNIPEG - The province says its new mobile testing site is open at the Robert Fletcher Building at 1181 Portage Ave. as of Monday. The site will run seven days a week from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., and is offering tests by appointment. Tests can be booked by calling 1-888-986-8152, with more information available through the province’s COVID-19 tests website.

The province released pandemic modelling data earlier this past week showing ICU admissions due to COVID-19 have exceeded their projected worst-case scenario. That model predicts as many as 124 patients with the virus could need critical care by June 21.
Acting Deputy Chief Public Health Officer Dr. Jazz Atwal says COVID-19’s demand on UCUs has a tendency to peak a month after a lockdown is issued in the province. More than 1,000 Manitobans have now died as a result of COVID-19 infection.
