WINNIPEG - Manitoba Public Insurance Corporation has replaced president and CEO Eric Herbelin.
Board chair Ward Keith said in a statement posted on MPI's website on the weekend that Marnie Kacher has agreed to take on the job on an interim basis while the board of directors begins recruiting for a permanent replacement.
Kacher has 12 years of experience with the Crown-owned insurer, most recently serving as vice president and chief operating officer
The leadership change comes amid a review ordered by the province last month after a sharp jump in the cost of technology upgrades at MPI and a steep rise in projected staffing levels.
