WINNIPEG - Fire risk is high across Manitoba, so high the province has imposed backcountry travel and camping restrictions.
The restrictions apply to all provincial parks south of the 53rd parallel and several other areas.
The banning of motorized backcountry travel is in addition to burning limits put in place by rural municipalities.
Camping is restricted to developed campgrounds and campfires are only permitted between 8 p.m. and 8 a.m.
