WINNIPEG - Because of tinder dry conditions after our second heat wave of the summer already, Manitoba Wildfire Service says the fire danger is extreme and new restrictions are now in effect.
Provincial burning permits have been cancelled across much of southern and central Manitoba.
Motorized backcountry travel by ATVs and other off-road vehicles is prohibited unless there's a travel permit.
And camping is restricted to developed campgrounds and campfires are only permitted between 8 p.m. and 8 a.m.
