New COVID Rule For Southern Manitoba

New COVID Rule For South

WINNIPEG - The Southern Health Region continues to lead the province with the most new cases of COVID-19 and that's why a new rule has been announced.

Unvaccinated people in that part of Manitoba must now self-isolate if they live with someone who is symptomatic or a close contact until test results come back negative.

Vaccinated individuals in the SHR and other Manitobans, as well as people who have had COVID in the last six months, won't have to isolate under these circumstances.

Dr. Jazz Atwal says they are seeing concerning transmission trends in the south.
