New Bear Spray Rules In Manitoba

New Bear Spray Rules

WINNIPEG - The Manitoba government is now requiring stores that sell bear spray to obtain photo identification from the person buying it.

Justice Minister Kelvin Goertzen says the repellent is increasingly being used as a weapon and has been involved in a number of recent assaults.

The province is also asking the federal government to consider stronger restrictions for online sales of bear spray in Canada.
