NDP Would Suspend Fuel Tax

WINNIPEG - Manitoba's NDP says it would suspend the provincial fuel tax if elected in October.

New Democrat Leader Wab Kinew says the tax cut would stay in place as long as inflation is high to help with the rising cost of living.

He thinks the tax suspension would last between six and 12 months.

Fuel taxes mean about $340 million a year for the province.
