WINNIPEG - The province is dealing with a critical shortage of naloxone which temporarily reverses the effects of an opioid overdose.
Arlene Last-Kolb at Overdose Awareness Manitoba says there aren't enough naloxone kits to keep up with demand.
A provincial official admits there's a naloxone supply issue but says it should be rectified within a few weeks.
The spokesperson adds there's enough naloxone on hand for current needs.
