WINNIPEG - Modernizing technology at Manitoba Public Insurance is going to cost taxpayers more than expected.
Project Nova, to let customers do more business with MPI online, had an original price-tag of $86 million.
The cost increased to $115 million last year and the opposition NDP says the final bill could reach $224 million.
Kelvin Goertzen, the minister responsible for the Crown corporation, says replacing the older tech is a bigger project than first thought.
