WINNIPEG - The province's chief public health officer says there are signs COVID-19 is spreading at a higher rate in Manitoba.
Dr. Brent Roussin says wastewater analysis in Winnipeg is indicating there's more transmission of the virus.
However, he was quick to add there's no plan to bring back public health orders like the face mask mandate.
Roussin also says COVID deaths are down and the number of patients in ICUs has stabilized.
The opposition New Democrats say it's too soon for the government to assume the pandemic is coming to an end and call on Roussin to go release more COVID data more often.
