More Military To Shamattawa

WINNIPEG - Shamattawa in northern Manitoba is getting more military help to fight COVID-19.

Federal public safety minister Bill Blair says his government will send additional Canadian Forces members to the first nation.

11 soldiers and supplies arrived there by cargo plane last week. A group of Canadian Rangers also flew in.

About 25 per cent of the community's population has tested positive for coronavirus.
