Manitoba's Oldest Turns 111

WINNIPEG - She's believed to be Manitoba's oldest person and she just turned 111 years old.

Jemima Westcott, born on January 10th in 1911, lives at a care home in Brandon.

She hails from Lauder, a small farming community in the province, where she grew up doing chores on a farm. She went on to become a teacher and get married.

Raunora Westcott, Jemima's granddaughter, says her grandmother has sharp memories from every decade of the last century including the 1918 Spanish Flu pandemic.
