Manitoba's Holiday Mountain Still Won't Open

Holiday Mountain Stays Closed

WINNIPEG - All the rain over the past few days doesn't change anything at Holiday Mountain.

The La Riviere ski hill recently announced they won't be opening this year because there's not enough water to make snow.

Holiday Mountain has a permit to pull 17 million gallons of water from the Pembina River for snowmaking but it says the river is still up to 10 feet below normal.

The hill plans to reopen in December of 2022.
