WINNIPEG - The provincial government is contributing two million dollars for a youth healing lodge in northern Manitoba.
Justice minister Kelvin Goertzen says the lodge, a first for the province, will provide more resources in the north so there's less need for RCMP cells for non-violent young people detained for intoxication.
Grand Chief Garrison Settee says the lodge in Thompson will allow for interventions led by First Nations.
