WINNIPEG - Manitoba Health is investigating after a woman and her three year old daughter were both given adult doses of COVID-19 vaccine instead of flu shots.
The person who made the mistake on November 24th in the western part of the province told their supervisor about the error.
The mother was also told and she was given information about the risks which MH says are low.
The department admits medication mistakes do happen but they area rare.
It would not say whether this is the first time someone has been given a COVID vaccine in error.
